National Tobacco Youth Campaign (2006-07)


Background

The National Tobacco Youth Campaign was undertaken during 2006-2007 and aimed to contribute to a reduction in the uptake and prevalence of smoking among young Australians.

The key messages aimed to encourage:
Two bursts of activity were implemented in the media buy. The first commenced on 26 December 2006 and the second in February 2007.

Non-English speaking background and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communications were also included in the communications mix.
